So the other day I was talking to a friend who's been there for me my entire life, and we were talking about the "good old days" playing gamecube and having no worries and it made me think of some of my favorite games ever. I'd have to say that I had more fun playing the gamecube than any other system I've ever played.
One of the first games that came up was Timesplitters. If you've ever played it, you'll understand. If not, its a hilarious FPS time traveling game that is 10000x funner than any modern FPS. Though, while googling for videos of it, I found out that a Timesplitters 4 is "to be announced" and Crytek could be working on it.
So I came up with a mini list of my top 7 or 8 games which includes Timesplitters, obviously,Metroid Prime, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles,Golden Sun: The Lost Age, Tales of Symphonia, Super Smash Bros Melee, and Sonic Adventure
If you noticed, I linked each of those games, except Timesplitters, to a video with a song from each that still gives me goosebumps.
So I leave now, with a fairly long post, asking what are your favorite/most nostalgic games? Any games that the music still haunts you to today?

Timesplitters Indeed "]!!! Great game "]
ReplyDeleteGamecube was the "good old days"? That was one generation ago. Kids...
ReplyDeleteHaha, note the quotes. I didn't know what else to call it, besides "funner than video games right now"
ReplyDeleteStreets of rage and Rayman xD
ReplyDeleteAh good old nostalgia <3
Rayman was awesome, I have too many "OMGWTFBBQIWANTTOMAKELOVETOTHEDISK" games to pick out a favourite, but one game I loved as a kid was of course, Sonic, and of course, Mario. I used to be able to complete Mario games as a kid, now I can't. I use this as evidence that games are getting easier, and now I have trouble playing hard games. It's not that I'm just worse at gaming than I was when I was 3. No way.
