And we're off

A few hours til I leave for vacation, its only a seven hour drive so it shouldn't be too bad. A week away from work, and this very depressingly boring city, should feel nice.

In other news, I worked 17 hours this week. Not to shabby, eh? Getting closer and closer to my guitar every week, and I'm thinking about going ahead and ordering it when I get back next week. They only require 33% of the final payment to kind of guarantee that you'll still want to buy the guitar after they've spent a couple months building it.

Beautiful.
The 2013 Viper GTS was put in Forza 4 today as a free download. Bet you can't guess what I spent the greater part of the night doing. Hooning around in that car is a ton of fun, and boy is it a driving machine.

Preparing for the drive,

The Weekly Gryt? Pfft.

Had some computer troubles lately, but I'm back.

Got my first paycheck for my summer work so far yesterday; that felt good to cash.

In concert news... Oh my god, I've seen the best of the best now.

Literally, the best of the best.
I saw Dream Theater, in person, live, all that great stuff in Columbus on Tuesday. Dear lord, I can't even begin to describe how awesome that concert was. John Petrucci is truly a talented guitarist. I doubt I will ever see a show better than that one, but I'm totally okay with that.

I leave for vacation tomorrow, and it might sound like my updates would get even more sporadic because of that, but surprisingly I think I'll have more time to write blog posts since I won't be at work all day.

Holy mother of comma splices, Batman!

Friday

Was my last blog post really on Tuesday? Sorry about that, lost track of time.  I leave for work in a few minutes so let's keep this short.

Sooo beautiful
That, up there, is a Solar7 made by the wonderful guitar making company Strictly 7.  They're a bunch of guys who hand make guitars up in Medina, Ohio. Oh hey, for those of you who didn't know I also live in Ohio.  It's like we were meant to be.

But yeah, I plan to be the proud owner of one of these pieces of art sometime in the near future.  I get to work all this summer to be able to afford the fairly hefty, but justifiable, price tag.  And boy does it sound beauitful. Just ask Ola Englund, the guy they designed it for.

A bit rushed today,

Summer

Took a few days off blogging to celebrate finals, now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Nothing to interesting to post yet, just me working my summer job at the family store.

I don't remember if I posted it on the blog, but here's a picture of the speaker cabinet I built in wood shop this year.

Vroom Vroom

Well, I got some exciting news at E3. There's a new Forza Horizon trailer, and man does it look good.  I'm a Forza diehard, but this just looks like a really fun game.

In other news, finals are getting ever closer. Wednesday are my first ones and I am not looking forward to them.  Even though I could literally fail every one of them and just about keep straight A's, tests are a pain to take.

Also semi-related to finals, I haven't been able to check in on anyone's blogs yet since I've been cramming.  Maybe tomorrow I'll take some time to relax and catch up on everything.

Until then,

Its June...

...and I am still in school.  Finals this week, so if posts seem even more incoherent than what they used to be, you can blame it on cramming.

School is boring, so enough talk about that. Let's talk about video games. E3 to be specific.  Starts on June 5th, and I better see some Half Life 3 announcements there or its just going to be the same old same old.
Oh man, I wish this was real.

I haven't gotten a chance to check everyone's blogs that I've missed; I usually used Google reader but I think I have over 9000 unread posts on it.  I think I'll just clear out everything unread tonight, and start fresh.

Stay classy,
~Gryt

The Saga Continues

I am going to restart this blog yet again. I've honestly missed reading everyone's blogs, so hopefully some of my followers are still out there. I still follow you all, so any active bloggers can hopefully expect some visits from me in the near future.

I've been enlightened in the past few months, that and its summer so hopefully I'll be able to maintain this blog full time.

For now, I'm signing off.
