So this is the knife I ordered, it's supposed to be here on the 4th. Pretty cool right?
As to why I got it, I collect knives somewhat, but I'm a pretty big nerd and have always been interested in history behind them and other knives like the kris that I have. I also have a little experience with flipping these, which is addictive.
As for the legality of it, laws in the US are pretty sketchy about butterfly knives. I've heard that they are and aren't illegal where I live, so I figure as long as it a) pretty much doesn't leave my house when I go to a public place, at least visible or on my person and b) isn't used as a weapon I'm fine
Still going to be a little busy tomorrow as well.

I suggest doing a little research on your local laws. Being seen with that thing in public is a red flag to pretty much everyone around you.
ReplyDeleteI agree with inverse. I'm not sure about where I live in regards to knife laws, other than switchblades are illegal
ReplyDeletethose things are illegal here in germany
ReplyDeleteIt's funny you should post this as I looked up the knife laws where I live, the UK. I'm not sure about the US but in the UK it's illegal to carry in public a knife that is not a pocket knife, and if it is a pocket knife, the blade has to be less than 3 inches. I think it's illegal to OWN one, you just can't go out and about with it without good reason, and VERY good reason. Such as being a butcher. Or a fisherman.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what's legal or illegal here lol. Anyways I would indeed want to bring one of those for emergencies I sometimes bring a swiss knife.
ReplyDeletei can flip this like a pro! =D
ReplyDeletehahahah wtf man, you should be carrying that kind of stuff. Im pretty sure thats illegal.
ReplyDeleteButterfly knives are bad ass if you learn some tricks with them... just don't go around waving it in people's faces and you should be fine.
ReplyDeleteswitchblades are more dangerous than butterfly knives right? although you can do way cooler sh** with a butterfly
ReplyDeleteWish they were legal here
ReplyDeleteYea i hate these laws about making certain weapons illegal.
ReplyDeleteCarry one of those around daily. Just be sure not to do dumb shit really. And you will be fine +Followed
